Pula is the largest town in Istria with a long tradition of wine production, fishing, shipbuilding and tourism. The city is known for many preserved ancient Roman buildings. One of the city's main attractions is the 1st century amphitheater known as the Arena. The Pula Arena is still in use today, mainly in summer when all kinds of events are organized. Besides amphitheater, Pula also has many other preserved monuments, temples, churches and museums to visit.
Pula offers numerous activities, such as wreck diving to ancient Roman galleys, or sailing to pristine bays and the surrounding islands, which include the Brijuni National Park. You can also visit the AquaPark Pula, the Pula Aquarium, go cycling through Istria, sail a kayak, or choose from one of many organized boat tours.
The natural beauty of the surrounding landscape and the beautiful Adriatic Sea make Pula an internationally popular summer vacation destination. We recommend you visit Pula as soon as possible! :)
