This holiday house Manoir Le Saule is nestled in the small village Ucimont, in southern Ardennen. Here, you stay in the famous Vallée de la Semois, about 10 km to the north of Bouillon. The house was formerly a hotel; it has a large garden and a wonderful terrace as well as a heated pool. Behind the house is the 2500 square metre garden with relaxing, barbecue and play equipment. You can also enjoy a wide view over the hills and landscape of the surroundings from here. The wonderful region is pleasantly serene. The meanders of the Semois have furrowed the region in peninsula like areas. Ucimont was once called ‘Tombeau du Géant’ that means ‘Grave of Giants’, by its inhabitants. The region used to be the only tobacco-growing region of Belgium and even today there are numerous old tobacco sheds that are evidence of the same. A walk through this rugged nature makes you forget the bustle of densely populated cities. Pay a visit to the sociable town Bouillon, where the well known Belgian Crusader Godfried van Bouillon is still remembered. The huge castle in the city founded in the year 1000 has various artefacts from the crusader days, distributed in several museums. The generously rated accommodation has a fitness and wellness room, and one of the 14 bedrooms stands on a water-bed for two people. The cottage Manoir Le Saule, due to its size, is excellent for family celebrations. The swimming pool in the garden can be used from 1st May to 30th September. The house is mainly intended for family groups. However, unrelated groups can be accepted with the consent of the owner and a possible additional deposit.
