The two holiday rooms – this two-room apartment with an en-suite shower and DZV465, which comprises one double room with an en-suite shower – are situated in the basement of the owner’s house, approximately 1 km from the Baltic Sea beach. There is a separate entrance via a steep staircase. The toilet (shared) and a small room containing various kitchen appliances (fridge, electric cooker, etc.) are physically separate from the holiday rooms and can be accessed via the shared corridor. There is a furnished terrace with a barbecue, storage facilities for bicycles and a car park. The total price includes bed linen, towels, and water and energy consumption. To be paid on site: visitor’s tax and final cleaning. Overall, this accommodation is a simple place to stay for short breaks. It does not meet high standards of comfort. As the toilet and kitchen facilities are shared, it is advisable to book both rooms in full.
The seaside resorts of Bansin, Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck are the so-called ‘Kaiserbäder’ (Imperial Spas) on the island of Usedom. They boast wide sandy beaches and piers with boat landings, and are linked by a promenade that stretches all the way to Świnoujście in Poland. The towns offer bike, boat and beach chair hire, tennis courts and a network of well-signposted walking trails. A modern water park, the ‘Ostseetherme’, is situated centrally between Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck. The border crossing into Poland is just a few minutes’ drive from Ahlbeck.
