Bale is a small place in the continental part of Istria near Rovinj. A good location for day trips either towards the coast or further inland. There are plenty of opportunities to explore beaches and bays, and from the towns you should definitely visit Rovinj and Pula. In Rovinj, you will be amazed by the colorful houses and the Church of St. Euphemia at the top of the old town. Visit numerous sights in Pula and, if you can, be sure to attend a concert in the Pula Arena. In the inner part of Istria you will find many taverns and restaurants with Istrian delicacies, and there are also numerous wineries where you can taste local wines.
